“What makes the West Side the best side?” was a question we asked of the neighbors who attended the Community Connection Event on Saturday August 27, 2022. We offered games for kids, free food and fun activities for adults as well. Our intention was to listen to the hopes and dreams of neighbors in the Ben Davis / Chapel Rock area and begin to discern how we might collaborate together to make the West Side even more life-giving and a desirable place to live. We did meet some of our area neighbors and began some conversations that we hope will blossom and grow in the near future.
